Student Driving Survey

Description (n=414):
In November of 2006, Commute Options Inc. spent five days monitoring traffic counts on College Way and Regency Drive.  This survey documents those counts as method for developing educational programs and alternative modes of transportation to and from campus.

Findings:
1.  The number one reason for students to drive alone is having no carpool option (40%)
2. The number one reason encouraging students not to drive alone is carpool partners (35%)
3.  Incentives for carpooling, biking and walking would encourage 30% not to drive alone.
